“Uma fotografia de Augusto Brázio, 43 anos, é a grande vencedora do 8.º Prémio Fotojornalismo VISÃOBES. O fotógrafo, freelancer e membro do colectivo Kameraphoto, é autor da imagem de uma mulher de 19 anos cujo terceiro filho acabava de nascer em casa quando foi assistida pelo INEM.
Na cerimónia de entrega dos prémios Jean-François Leroy, o presidente do júri, referiu-se a esta fotografia como sendo simples e cheia de força. “Ficamos com vontade de conhecer a história por trás”, disse ele.
No momento de receber o prémio, Augusto Brázio contou que a fotografia foi tirada já de madrugada, quando ele estava acompanhar a equipa de técnicos e médicos do INEM. “Fomos chamados para um parto que estava acontecer em casa”, o local onde a mãe, que vive num bairro social, preferia ter o bebé. Foi tirada já na ambulância, a caminho do hospital onde o bebé ia fazer os testes. Esta imagem faz parte de um trabalho de Augusto Brázio, que durante um ano acompanhou o INEM.”
